Just making her remember without checking what was even wrong in the first place was a stupid idea and no one Hyoubu planned to entertain. It was more dangerous to him this way, but he could live with that.

He explained as best her could what he was going to do. Even though he suspected she wouldn't be able to understand, he still tried. He didn't make it a habit to invade the minds of others without asking.

"Are you ready?"

She looks at him, a look of confusion on her face, head cocked to one side. She wanted to understand.

But he was right: most of what he said had gone over her head. The only thing that had stood out to her while he had explained and looked so serious was that it seemed important to him, whatever it was, so she didn't even hesitate with her reply, "Yes."

And then she smiled because she believed in him. Believed that no matter what he would keep her safe with an almost childlike conviction.

The look she gave him wasn't new to him. He had seen it on a number of children right here on the Catastrophe. What was it that Magi said? They needed him to be strong for everyone as the leader.

He tried to smile back for her, to reassure her that everything will be fine no matter what he had to do to make it so. It was a bit strained though. He hoped she didn't notice.

He reached out to place his hand on her head, the heel of his palm resting on her forehead.

Psycho Dive.

Oichi noticed, and the smile drops for a brief moment. She isn't really sure why he seems to be sad, and is even less sure over what she can do to help him. She almost wants to open her mouth and tell him not to be sad, wants to hold him tight and pat his head and tell him everything will be okay.

But he reaches out for her before she can reach for him, and she simply settles with closing her eyes and leaning her forehead against his palm.

Aqua woke up in the morning with a cough. She hadn't thought much about it and went out to run her errands. It was her turn to get the groceries today and there was that extra Watch shift she was doing in the morning.

By the time she got back to the apartment she shared with her partner, her cheeks were noticeably flushed and, while she felt something was off, she didn't realize she was running a fever.

Despite its name, Peach Blossom Island didn't only have peach blossoms. There was a lovely field of wild-flowers on the other side of the island. It was perfect for picnicking so that's where they're headed. Huang Rong carried the food, of course. She loved Ichi, really she did, but the poor girl was liable to drop everything.

"We're almost there." She looked back with a bright smile, making sure she was still following.

Shirogane wasn't really sure what most people did on their days off. Nor did he particularly care what they did as long as it didn't directly involve him because he had his own plans and no time to play with idiots.

Which was why when Fujiko had come barging into his room and plopped herself down beside him, he ignored her and continued to read his book.

The moment she enters the apartment, he turns from where he's standing at the stove with his hair tied back to call to her, "Dinner's ready."

He looks back to his stove, mind dimly registering that her cheeks were flushed and that she had coughed more than once this morning. Then he stops. Turns. Looks again.

And then he frowns.

Shirogane would have thought that at least one of his lectures on the importance of staying healthy had gotten through to her. (But to tell the truth, he personally didn't think any of them really did.)

It was raining.

Weather was something that fascinated Ryuuko who lived in a world where weather didn't exist. Unlike the world of humans, his realm was neither hot nor cold and the sky was never overcast or sunny.

He understood from a textbook's point of view why weather existed, what created it and what purpose it served in the grander scheme of things. He knew that rainbows were considered beautiful. He also knows that the word for the the scent of rain on dry earth is petrichor and it is supposed to be beautiful as well even though it is caused by bacteria and the oil from plants.

But he can never truly understand and that's what makes it so strange and interesting and novel. He's standing outside right now, with a hand outstretched as the rain falls.

Fujiko didn't even bother with knocking (who knocks, anyway? He was lucky she actually bothered with the door at all and didn't just teleport into his room).

When he didn't acknowledge her presence even when she all but threw herself onto whatever he was sitting on, she decided to give him to the count of five to rectify this before she took matter into her own hands.

By the time she got to three in her head she decided he's had enough time and swings her legs over his lap. "Fujiko is bored."

Shiho didn't really like rain. It was wet and it was cold, and worst of all it made her hair poufy. As far as she was concerned, the only good thing about the rain was that it gave her a legitimate excuse to steal Aoi's polka dot rain boots and wear her coat with the hood up (so it framed her face perfectly).

She gives the man standing in the rain a weird look before she sighs and makes her way over, holding her umbrella over his head, "Are you lost?"

"Okay." Her response to him was distracted as she sets the groceries on the counter and begins to unpack them without really being aware of what he just told her.

She stops though, when she pulls out a can of dice tomatoes and...sort of stares at it like she's not entirely sure what to make of it. Where does this go, again...?

Oichi is following, although she is some distance away because she had been distracted by the play of the sunlight on leaves and had stood there marvelling at it, gently stretching out her fingers to it and trying to touch it.

She couldn't touch it though, and she gives a soft and obviously disappointed "ah" until she notices the way the leaves cast shadows on her hand and spends a good minute turning it this way and that, distracted.

Shirogane lowers his book and gives her legs an offended look before turning said look on her, "That's not my problem."

As she should be able to see: he's reading. And he intends to continue reading whether she removes her legs or not.
