It isn't so much the fact that he's going to be given a demonstration that bothers him.

"Take notes with what?"

Fujiko laughs and pulls back just enough so they were face to face. Ah, she remembers why she likes him now...

"You're so cute." She murmurs against his mouth before pressing her lips against his again.

It's difficult for Shirogane to focus on both arguing and taking notes, so well-played, Fujiko. Well-played indeed.

He returns the kiss as well as he can (which isn't really that well, all things considered), tilting his head and closing his eyes as he leans in.

Really, he was so completely hopeless.

She angled her face to make it easier to deepen the kiss, she opens her mouth a little, her tongue swiped at his lower lip asking for entry.

Entry which she gets. He knows that he isn't as good as she is at this (and likely never will be), but he sighs into her mouth anyways, his hand going to hold the back of her head.

He may never be as good as her at this, but Fujiko's goal is to one day get him to the point where he'd kiss her on his own (without any sort of prompting).

At the very least, she mused, he was a willing student.

When his mouth opens her tongue brushes his, almost teasingly as she buries her fingers in his hair. Really, he had such pretty hair; it could almost make a girl jealous.

She'll probably have to trick him into it.

Even though he (sort of) knows how this is supposed to go by now, that doesn't stop him from starting a bit at her tongue brushing against his. There's only a moment of hesitation though and a sound that he'd never admit was a moan before he's returning the kiss, his hand running from the back of her head to her shoulder, fingers skirting over the skin of her neck as he tries unsuccessfully not to get lost in how light-headed she's making him feel.

If she had wanted to, now would be the time to point out that this was a kiss that will make your partner's heart race and leave her breathless.

The thought of making fun of him was growing less attractive by the minute, however, especially when compared to this.

The feel of his fingers on her neck was...electrifying. It was cheesy but it was really the only way Fujiko could think of to describe it. Shirogane was not a man who liked relinquishing control of himself. To know that she could have this kind of effect on him gave her a thrill. (And really, it was only fair because he has the same effect on her despite being as romantic as a brick.)

She let her fingers tangle in his hair, as if she didn't intend to ever let him go.

Eventually though, she did have to pull back, her breathing a little more uneven than before the kiss. She didn't pull back far though, just enough so she could look him in the eyes.

"Well?"

He had liked it. He had like it a lot. That much he could admit to himself.

But that doesn't mean he's going to admit it to her, especially when he was sure she was going to make fun of him for it. He stares at her for a minute more, finding his eyes drifting down to her mouth before he abruptly turns his head to stare at a spot on the wall.

What an interesting, totally blank spot it was too.

This would probably have been more convincing if he didn't still have his fingers tangled in her hair.

From the way his eyes drifted and the way he turned his head she already knew his answer.

It won't stop her from teasing him though. It was her right as his girlfriend, after all.

So she laughs before leaning in to press a kiss against his jaw. "Aren't you going to answer Fujiko's question~?"

He breathes in sharply when he feels her lips press against his jaw, but keeps his eyes resolutely on the spot on the wall.

"I don't need to answer your question."

She takes back her previous comment. There were probably bricks out there that were more romantic than him.

She huffed a short laugh before tilting her head to nip teasingly at his earlobe. Of course, she doesn't move away when she starts speaking and pretty much talks right into his ear.

"I guess I'll let you off the hook this one time." And with that, she was gone from his side. Since he hadn't let go and Fujiko didn't really want to pull her hair out, teleporting was the only option.

Standing in front of him, she raised her hand up and brought his book back, letting it fall onto his lap.

"Well, Fujiko will be in her room if you need her~." With one last little wave, she teleported back to her room.

After all, Fujiko was not the kind of girl who would just blindly chase after a guy all the time. She had her pride as a woman.

Also, if he chose to just go back to his book she will be angry.

It takes him a full half-hour to make up his mind.

Partly because he had frozen in place from the nip on his earlobe and he had spent a full minute staring at the space where she had been. Partly because he spent some time pacing the room and trying to go back to his room.

But it was a lost cause when he found himself reading but unable to focus on the words at all. With a sigh, he had put the book down and made his way to her room: to give her hell for interrupting his reading time, of course.

While he was thinking she was watching her drama on the TV in her room.

She leaned back against the headboard with a huff.

Really, how long was he going to be? That guy really was hopeless. If he didn't show up before the credits finished rolling she was locking her door and spending the rest of the afternoon watching her drama.

His hand is raised as he contemplates knocking on the door. Then he feels like an idiot and decides to just go in without knocking.

He's book-less and doesn't look all that pleased, "Well?"

Fujiko visibly brightened when the door opened. She didn't move from her spot, however.

Instead, she schooled her expression into a pout. "You're late."

"You never told me there was a time limit."

Because he definitely would have been on-time then. He lingers by the door, still not certain what he should do.

"You should know better than to keep a lady waiting." She said with a huff. She could tell from his face though, that he probably had no idea where to proceed from here.

He really was...such an idiot.

She swung her legs over the side of the bed.

"Well? Are you going to come over?" Her voice was teasing, but there was a challenge there too. "Or do you plan to stand at the doorway forever?"

He gives her a frown at that statement. Don't expect a quasi-immortal who has no experience pandering to other people to know something like that.

"I'll remember that for next time."

He does make his way over though, sitting on the bed beside her.

...and he would remember, wouldn't he? That's the kind of person he was. He would probably even be able to quote her if she asked.

She laughed a little in response, turning so she could wrap her arms loosely around his shoulders.

That's asking for too much. He could summarize, but quoting would be difficult.

Okay, now he really is at a loss. WHAT DO. But...he seemed to remember her saying that embraces should be returned, so he slides his arms around her waist. Okay, now: WHAT DO.

As much as she liked picking on every now and then, she knew he really was trying. The arms around her waist were proof enough of that.

She leaned up to nuzzle his jaw, laughing quietly against his skin. "Have I told you I love you?"

"Yes."

Just yesterday, actually. He wasn't sure if the nuzzle should be returned though.

"Mm." The nuzzle turned into a quick kiss on his jaw. "Well, Fujiko loves you. Very, very much." Because she can never say it too many times.

She drew lazy circles on his shoulder with a finger. "Don't think about it too much. Just do what feels right." Because she knows he's probably over-thinking things...again.

And no matter how many times she says it, he's still not really sure how to respond. In the beginning, there was no doubt that he didn't want her there. She was loud, and she was demanding, and he was uncomfortable whenever she was involved. He wasn't even sure when that had begun changing. When he had started looking for her if she wasn't there, and wanting to be by her side. When the 'thank god she's not here' had turned into an irritating worry over what could have happened to her.

Because as he spent more and more time with her, despite her faults, she had somehow endeared herself to him. He couldn't say if he loved her, but he knew without a doubt that he couldn't see his life without her in it.

So he leans down, tilting his head as he catches her lips with his own, hoping that this was what she meant when she said to do what felt right. And hoping that if it wasn't that he hadn't botched it up too badly.
