At least she wasn't bothering him now. But at the same time, a thought occurs to him...

If he told her now that he wasn't staying tomorrow...what was the possibility that she'd just show up at his house now that she knew he had the day off...

He sighs.

The department could probably manage without him for the rest of today and tomorrow. They'd know where to find him if they needed him. (Because he'd started to spend an increasing amount of time with the director lately....He was going to fix that after the next two days. He was probably neglecting his work.)

"....I'm staying the night."

Why did this guy think so loudly? If Fujiko had let go of his hand and avoided touching him while he thought she could have avoided finding out why he was staying. (She rather liked the way it felt to have their fingers laced like this, though...)

She'll just pretend that she didn't know. It was better that way.

"Good." She said, before leaning over to nip at his neck, hard enough to leave a mark (just in case he started thinking about backing out).

He can't help if he has loud thoughts and he definitely won't back out once he's decided.

His breath catches in his throat when she nips at his neck, and the hand holding hers tightens unconsciously. The other hand snakes further up past the flared hem of her shirt to press fully against the smooth skin of her back as he responds with a kiss against the shell of her ear.

She shivered at the kiss on her ear and at the feel of his breath there. Her hand, the one not entwined with his drew lazy circles on his nape before dipping lower to stroke at the skin under his collar.

"It's not fair." She whined. "You have much better access than Fujiko does."

He presses a line of kisses against her jaw before he frowns and pulls back,

"...What are you talking about?"

"This." To demonstrate, she pulled her hand back, finger tips brushing along the skin under his collar until they were resting lightly at the spot between his collar bones. She pouted at him.

"You wear way too much."

Shirogane looks back at her, unfazed by the pouting, "Isn't this what I wear normally?"

He likes his button-up shirts, okay.

She huffs. "That just means you always wear too much." She leans up to press a kiss to the corner of his mouth. "But I guess it's a good thing that you wear buttons all the time."

"......Why is it a good thing?"

And more importantly, is he going to regret asking this question?

If the mischievous smile on her face is any indication? It's very likely.

"It give Fujiko more options." The hand on his chest slides up until the tips of her fingers brushed his lips. "Would you like a demonstration~?"

At times like these, he really wishes he could tell what she was thinking.

"...A demonstration of what?"

"Of why I like that you wear button up shirts instead of zippers, of course."

Shirogane gives her an unsure look.

Is it too late to back out of this....

Yes, yes it is.

She pulls her hand back from his and gets to work on the top buttons of his shirt, pressing a kiss against the skin there.

"Fujiko could start undresing you from here..." She whispered against his skin.

For once, Shirogane's mind is completely blank. He watches her undo the buttons on his shirt, not sure what kind of expression he should be making. There is a sharp intake of breath at the kiss though, and his newly freed hand finds its way to her waist.

She stops undoing the buttons after the second one. She let her finger tips brush the exposed skin before drifting lower, following the line of buttons until she reached the waist of his pants.

While she did that she leaned up to talk right against his ear.

"...or Fujiko could start from here." She undid the first button above the waist of his pants with one hand. Her fingers ghosted over the skin there.

I...don't know.

He swallows hard and closes his eyes at the feeling of her breath against his ear, when he speaks again, his voice is tense, "I really don't see how it makes a difference."

"I didn't think you would."

It wasn't an issue, really. Fujiko just wanted to see how he'd react. Meanwhile, she'll just keep undoing those buttons, letting her fingers graze his skin every time she was finished with one.

Each brush of her fingers against his skin makes his breath hitch in his throat, until finally he grits his teeth and pulls her flush against him as he presses kisses against her throat, her jaw, and lingeringly against her lips.

She doesn't even get to finish with her beloved buttons, sadly.

The sudden movement surprises her, though when he gets to kissing her on the mouth she has recovered enough to press against him and return that kiss. (It didn't mean that her own breath hadn't hitch at the feel of his mouth on her neck.)

It felt like a lot of their relationship was like this, with her pushing and pushing until he pushed back. Shirogane, she knew, was a man who valued self-control and knowing that she was the only person who could make him act this was was thrilling.

This was much more interesting than buttons.
