He slowly lets go, then immediately begins to fuss over Eagle.

"Did I hurt you?"

"Of course not, you just li-"

AOSDJLKJLGKJ.

"Um. I mean. Never mind! I'm fine!"

"Are you sure? I mean, I was holding you pretty hard just now!"

"Well...yes...b-but I'm okay. Really."

At this point, Eagle decides it may be best to try and change the subject, "So. Um. Are you going back now? Or are you s-staying?"

Ryuuki froze for a second before looking at Eagle like a sad puppy. "...can I stay?"

That surprises him. Although it really shouldn't, given that this is a look he sees on Ryuuki's face a lot. But he recovers, and smiles, "Yes. You can."

Ryuuki beams at that answer then leans down to press a quick kiss to Eagle's mouth.

"Thank you!"

It's dark though, so Eagle isn't really sure what just happened. But even with that he's pretty sure that was a kiss.


THAT WAS A KISS?!

"Y-You! You can't just..."

"Hm? I can't just what, Eagle?"

No really. He doesn't know.

Eagle is silent for a very long time, because HOW DO YOU EVEN SAY THIS WITHOUT IT SOUNDING COMPLETELY EMBARRASSING?

Taking a deep, steadying breath, Eagle launches into a lecture.

"K-K-K-K-K-K-K-K-..."

Okay. He attempts to launch into a lecture.

And Ryuuki waits patiently for his answer, completely unaware that Eagle was preparing to start a lecture.

"You...I...You...You can't...I mean....it's not...it was nice...but still....I...You...I...!"

He has no idea what he's saying anymore.

It's okay because Ryuuki will keep standing here, smiling brightly and patiently until you figure it out. See, he can be patient!

If Eagle didn't know better, he'd think that he was being played with a smile like that. How could he be so calm all the time?!

"Don't....don't k-k-kiss someone suddenly like that. It's supposed to be special, so...so save it for someone important to you."

.......Eagle looks down now, having accidentally hurt his own feelings with that.

"Oh."

Not suddenly, huh. So that means he should give Eagle some warning?

Ryuuki looked up thoughtfully, before smiling down at Eagle again. "I understand." He leaned down so their foreheads were touching, still smiling.

"I'm going to kiss you now." And since he's warned Eagle properly (isn't he smart? Won't you praise him?) he leans in to do exactly as he said.

Leaning foreheads together is cheating, because Eagle can't move an inch. He's not sure if it's because he knows Ryuuki is looking into his eyes, or if it's because he just doesn't want to move. Or maybe it's because some part of his mind is going, 'Oh. Maybe...maybe this means that I'm special to him.'

The kiss was innocent, but he lingered for a moment before pulling back and smiling brightly.

Eagle opens the eyes he didn't remember closing when he feels Ryuuki pulling back. He doesn't need to be able to see to know that Ryuuki's probably smiling brightly. There's the unmistakable sound of a tail wagging happily, after all. He's really not sure what to say, so he stays where he is, blushing to the tips of his ears.

"It's all right if it's like that, right?"

Ryuuki is very proud of himself right now and it's pretty much written all over his face.

Eagle nods....then catches himself and looks to where he hopes Ryuuki's face is, "I...well...just...just don't do it if there are a lot of people around. Or in the day. I mean...it's kind of...embarrassing, so. I mean...it's not that I don't like it, because it was really nice, just..."

And now he was rambling.

His ears flattened, but he listened carefully anyway.

"...I never realized there were so many rules."

Now he feels bad...Eagle bites his lip and he's certain that his ears are red too....but he doesn't want Ryuuki to be unhappy.

"I...I guess it doesn't matter if you d-do it in the day. And as long as no one is actually looking...."

This actually makes what he said before entirely moot.

His ears perked back up.

"I see! Don't worry I'll make sure no one sees!"

But since Ryuuki is about as subtle as a brick in the face it's hard to say how successful he will be.

Since Eagle is about as bright as a brick, he believes him.

"....If it's like that then I guess it'll be okay."

And since Eagle now had Ryuuki's promise, it's like a big weight has been lifted off his shoulders and suddenly he feels very tired, "Hey...we should go to sleep. It's getting kind of late, right?"

"Okay!"

And with that, Ryuuki was reaching out for Eagle's hand and dragging him the couch.
