"I don't know either."

Despite the less-than-polite answer, Shirogane looks really peaceful, staring out into the night.

"Then at least name reasons why you love Fujiko!"

"You are dedicated and confident in yourself. I respect that in you. And I like your eyes."

Because he honestly didn't focus on other people's outward appearances. Shirogane wouldn't give the time of day to anyone who didn't earn his respect first.

...that's it? But her eye colour is pretty common in...actually not just Japan but in most Asian countries.

She just sighed and tops off his glass again. Just get drunk and pass out already.

"I think it might have been better if you weren't such an honest drunk."

What he means is the expression in her eyes. The strength and determination he can see in them.

"I'm honest even when I'm not drunk."

Just not about everything.

Then he should have just said that.

"The kind of honest where you'd rather I read something off you than actually say it?"

"It's faster that way. And I like the feeling of holding your hands."

"...you do?" That, she hadn't expected to hear.

"Yes."

He reaches a hand out for hers, eyes calm as he laces their fingers together.

"Well, why didn't you say so in the first place?" she pouted at him.

"Because you didn't ask."

She stares for a moment before she just laughs helplessly. She sets her now empty glass on the bannister before reaching out to tuck some of his hair behind his ear.

"Honestly, you really are hopeless when it comes to this."

Shirogane leans into the feeling of her fingers against his skin, "I don't see how I'm hopeless."

"My point exactly." Because the fact that he didn't see how he was hopeless just proved how hopeless he was.

"So," she said as the hand moved from his face to the back of his neck, "do you like kissing Fujiko?"

"Yes."

A part of him is getting very suspicious over her questions though.

Obviously if he's getting suspicious then he's not drunk enough yet.

She flicked her fingers and moved the bottle over to top off his glass again.

"Do you like holdiing Fujiko?"

"It's comforting."

Which is to say that yes, he likes holding her. He doesn't drink anymore of the champagne though.

Comforting, huh...

Well, it wasn't what she was hoping for, but the answer was so...him that she couldn't help but feel warmed by it.

"If you don't drink it, it will just go to waste, you know."

He takes another sip, "Is it really okay to open something this expensive?"

"I have to open it at some point or it will just go to waste." She poured the last of it into her own glass before leaving the empty bottle on the railing.

"Besides, if there was anyone I wanted to share this with, it would be you."

"Hm."

He rests his head against the edge of the window, "I'm glad...that I came."

Fujiko's alcohol tolerance was levels above what was normal so she was usually nowhere near drunk even when everyone else was.

So she couldn't blame the flush on her cheeks on being drunk.

She smiled, almost shy as she took another sip of her champagne. "I'm glad too."

He smiles at her, before going back to sipping champagne and staring out into the night.

Okay, so she didn't get the answers she wanted to most of the questions she asked, but she kind of already expected some of those answers anyway. She could say that this evening, on the whole, was really nice and she was almost a little disappointed that he probably won't remember in the morning.

"Would you come again if Fujiko asked?"

"I always do as you ask, don't I?"
