...Where did he learn to do something like that? That wasn't like him at all. It was definitely someone's bad influence.






She returns the kiss anyway, snuggling a little bit closer.

[directking]

It worked for the Director when she did it to Shirogane.

He kissed her the way she had told him she preferred to be kissed. After years of accumulating data, he was sure he had it right.

Though occasionally he'd throw in something else and see how that worked out. Everything in this world could be improved upon, after all. Today though, was not a time to be experimenting.

Don't use those two as a study. They were a special case. Besides, Shiho was nothing like that stone-faced guy.

It was clinical, the way he kissed her. Of course, she did like it. The soft sigh and the way she melts against him is a good indication of that. But at the same time, she couldn't help but to find it just a bit weird. Cute. But weird.

Passion was not a thing that came to him naturally, but he knew he could love because he truly did love her. So he tried to make this as normal for her as he could though he find he often misses the mark.

The fact that she still stuck around despite that just made him want to try harder.

He brings a hand up to cup her cheek as the other holds her snugly around the waist.

It's okay, Ryuuko. Shiho finds your abnormality cute, and the effort you put into making her happy is also cute. If he were normal, she wouldn't be half as interested.

She hums happily, one hand brushing against his jaw as she pulls back, a smile on her face.

"I guess I can forgive you for a kiss like that."

[directking]

"I'm glad."

So the Director's trick really worked. He reaches out to tuck a lock of her hair behind her ear.

"Do you want a girl or a boy?"

"Hm, a girl. A cute girl that looks like you."


She knows he's probably going to read manuals on parenting anyway.

[directking]

And he actually does think about it very seriously.

"I'm not sure if my features would look good on a girl."

[i_have_a_taser]

"That's what we have my genes for, right? But I think a cute boy that looks like me would be nice too."

[directking]

"I think any child who looked like you would be very attractive."

[i_have_a_taser]

"Flatterer."

But her tone isn't unhappy as she bumps her forehead against his.

"I'm just stating the truth."

But it doesn't seem like she's unhappy with it so he's willing to just let it go.

Ryuuko tilts his head in response to that action, letting the tips of their noses brush.

"I guess this means we need to turn one of the rooms into a nursery."

With a quiet giggle, she rubs her nose against his, "You're doing that though, right?"

[directking]

"That depends on how complicated the project will get." Moving furniture he can still manage, but anything more than that and he'd rather just hire someone. Or ask Shirogane.

He smiles at her indulgently, "But yes. You will not be required to do any work." Since he knows that's probably what she's really asking.

"Well, I'll help picking out furniture and colours, you know."

That was totally helping, right?

"Oh, I expected you to, since you don't seem to trust my tastes."

[i_have_a_taser]

"If we had left it up to you, the room would be white."

[directking]

"White is a good colour, isn't it?" It matches with everything and will make the room look brighter too.

[i_have_a_taser]

"Not when everything is white."

[directking]

"Ah. I suppose it might be easy to bump into things." He titled his head and the expression on his face could be called petulant. "I would have realized, you know, and either changed the furniture or the wall colour."

"And what would you want us to do with the other furniture then, Ryuuko?"

She's not really ragging on him. Maybe. She rests her head against his shoulder anyway. Just in case.

[directking]

He put a hand on her head lightly and smiled.

"Give it away, I guess?"

"What a waste. Besides, I want a big crib. A round one. With a canopy."

Yes, even if the child was a boy.

[directking]

He nods.

"We can go shop for one later."

[i_have_a_taser]

"And we're buying baby clothes. And I want a sandwich."

She smooshes his face together, for no reason other than to see how he's going to react. (She expects that he probably won't react at all.)
