"If we had left it up to you, the room would be white."

[directking]

"White is a good colour, isn't it?" It matches with everything and will make the room look brighter too.

"Not when everything is white."

[directking]

"Ah. I suppose it might be easy to bump into things." He titled his head and the expression on his face could be called petulant. "I would have realized, you know, and either changed the furniture or the wall colour."

"And what would you want us to do with the other furniture then, Ryuuko?"

She's not really ragging on him. Maybe. She rests her head against his shoulder anyway. Just in case.

[directking]

He put a hand on her head lightly and smiled.

"Give it away, I guess?"

"What a waste. Besides, I want a big crib. A round one. With a canopy."

Yes, even if the child was a boy.

[directking]

He nods.

"We can go shop for one later."

[i_have_a_taser]

"And we're buying baby clothes. And I want a sandwich."

She smooshes his face together, for no reason other than to see how he's going to react. (She expects that he probably won't react at all.)

[directking]

She was mostly correct about the lack of a reaction from him. He did react by blinking, and for a brief moment there was an expression on his face that said he was trying to figure out what the point of squishing his face between her hands was. It disappeared quickly enough though and he decided it was better to just roll with it.

"Of course." He said, except with his face pressed together what came out sounded more like 'Uf cort'.

Shiho can't help it, she laughs at the expression on his face, laughs at the weird words that just came out of his mouth, laughs because she's never been happier, laughs until she's wiping tears from her eyes and pressing forward to kiss him, her expression soft as she pulls away,

"Stupid. Love you."

[directking]

"I love you too."

Because it seems like the proper response and because he means it with every fiber of his being.

He's heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He has always taken it to be true, understood that beauty is something that is incredibly subjective. And yet, looking at her now, he can't imagine how anyone could possibly disagree that Shiho is beautiful.

He thinks idly and without caring to try and keep her out. He did not think as loudly as Shirogane, but he has never tried to hide what he thought from her. If she chooses to read it or even if she doesn't, he wouldn't even be bothered.

She can't help but be able to read him with her hands in direct contact with him. (Or rather, since she was still sitting on his lap, there was no way to not be in direct contact with him.)
But as always, she always liked what she heard, liked the honesty of both his words and his thoughts (weird as they sometimes were.)

"When you're thinking that your wife is beautiful, you're suppose to kiss her back, stupid Ryuuko."

[directking]

He keeps smiling at her as he frames her face with his hands. He leans in, pressing his forehead to hers.

"Forgive me. I didn't realize."

Then he angles his head to kiss her.

"You should have realized."

Shiho tilts her head to accommodate him with a content hum as she tangles her fingers in his inky hair, pulling away just enough to pout,

"Dummy."

Just one word, said affectionately as she leans in again to coax his lips back to hers.

He's only all too ready to oblige her.

Ryuuko likes kissing her for reasons completely beyond what he could explain. It didn't bother him too much though, that he couldn't say why.
