She barely noticed another tray being set down. Her name being called managed to get Aqua to look up though.

Out of the three girls who made up the Children, Shiho was the one Aqua got along with best. She liked the other girls too, but she had the easiest time speaking with Shiho (also, Shiho has never tried to grope her).

"...you know I wasn't thinking about meeting boys, Shiho." She just set her fork down at this point. She'll probably ask for a box to take this back to eat later. As for Supervisor Tanizaki....Aqua made a face at the mention of him. She had to admit a large part of the reason why she didn't like Naomi's supervisor was because her own supervisor didn't like him much. Supervisor Eraqus admitted that Superviser Tanizaki was competent and he certainly did care about the espers under his care.

It didn't change the fact that he was pervert.

That was the other reason Aqua didn't particularly care for him. At the thought of meeting him, Aqua's hand automatically reached for star shaped limiter on her ear. It was a conditioned response to turn the output up as high as it would go whenever he was nearby.

"I know."

She just wanted to see the other girl flustered, that's all.

"But that doesn't change the fact that all work and no play isn't good for you."

Especially because Aqua was known throughout BABEL as one of the most hard-working espers. Shiho pulls out a chair and sits down, resting her chin in her hands as she looks at Aqua.

If that was what she wanted then she definitely succeeded. Aqua was nowhere near freaking out, but it's quite obvious that her initial remark caught her off-guard.

Then she's back to looking at her food. It wasn't like she planned to work today. It was one of their rare days off and she'd wanted to spend it with her friends. But things hadn't worked out like she'd hoped.

She smiled and looked back up though. "Well, I don't really have anything else planned so I thought it would be a good use of my time."

"Then, how about doing something with me? We can do something a lot more fun than training. How about it?"

Shiho smiles, at her very sugary-sweetest.

Aqua was a little surprised by the offer. Mostly though, it was because she'd have thought Shiho would be doing something with her best friends. It wasn't often that you saw those three apart.

"You don't have any plans?"

"Well, Kaoru-chan and Aoi-chan are busy."

Kaoru was doing fitness training, and Aoi was off at some library study-date with Bullet. Or as they called it "We're just studying, that isn't suspicious. We're just studying! Together! This isn't what it looks like!!"

Shiho had almost been tempted to sidle up to Aoi then, and ask her if they were just studying, why couldn't they do it all together? They could even call the Pandra members~
She was kind of glad now that she hadn't. The two would have most likely said yes in order to seem unsuspicious and ended up crying the whole time. Or being lovey-dovey despite the distractions. Besides, then Aqua would have been stuck by herself.

She tilts her head to smile at Aqua.

"What about Minamoto-san?"

The relationship the Children had with their supervisor was different from the one they had with Eraqus. On her part, she could hardly imagine hanging out with her supervisor the way Shiho, Aoi and Kaoru did.

It wasn't that their own team wasn't close; Eraqus was just a lot less open about how much he cares about them.

She was just a little bit relieved though, that she might not have to spend this day by herself.

"Minamoto-san is in a meeting."

A very boring meeting too, by the looks of it.

Slowly, she smiled. "Then I guess I have no reason to refuse."

"Of course! Ahhh, where should we go?"

Now that she had secured a friend to go with her, Shiho immediately starts thinking about where to take Aqua. Shopping? Movies? Shopping? Shopping? Steak?

"You can choose. I'm just happy to be able to spend time with you." She really, really was. It wasn't often that they got to hang out, just the two of them.

Well, without a joint mission looming over them. Aqua knew that when she was in what Ventus and Terra called her Work Mode she really wasn't all that much fun to hang out with.

You should be glad this is Shiho and Kaoru, Aqua. You would have definitely been groped with a resounding "AQUA-SAN SO CUUUUTE~"

As it is though, Shiho is thinking that maybe Kaoru has the right idea. Only nix on the groping. This girl was cute though.

"Then, how about shopping?"

Aqua wouldn't know what to do with a comment like that without the groping. (The groping, she knew how to deal with by now.)

"Shopping sounds good to me." Aqua pushed her tray to the side. She laced her fingers and propped her chin on top. "Do you have any preference for where to go?"

"Preference..."

She taps her chin with a finger, "Somewhere where we can buy you a nice dress, then, Aqua-san. I bet you just train all day and don't even own a single cute dress."

"Dresses aren't very practical." Besides that, they were also quite pricey. She could afford one on her salary, easily, but it seemed a waste to buy something she won;t have a lot of chance to wear.

(Though she has been tempted once or twice...still, she was convinced that it wouldn't suit her at all.)

"Every girl needs something impractical that she feels pretty in, Aqua-san."

Or in Shiho's case: multiple somethings.

"...I wouldn't look very good those kinds of clothes, Shiho."

"Don't be ridiculous, Aqua-san."

And with that, Shiho stands up and abandons her lunch, "We're going right now."

"Right now?" But she stands anyway, though if no one tells her not to, she'll take her tray, dishes and uneaten food and bring it back.

Maybe even asking for a box.

"Of course! We need to get to Shibuya as soon as possible."

And that meant leaving. Now. No time for boxes.

But then they'll be wasting food...

"All right. Just let me bring this back first..."

Who cares?

Well, Shiho knows that Aqua probably does.

"We can't bring boxes around with us while shopping, Aqua-san."

"...I guess you're right." That would be a little strange and she couldn't ask her to go with her all the way back to the dormitory so she could put this in the fridge.

"I just feel bad about wasting food like this."

"Then we'll drop by someone's place and give it to them. I think there should be at least one person around here who hasn't eaten their lunch yet."

As long as it wasn't Sakaki. He could starve.

She looked down at her plate which was still untouched except for where she'd pushed part of the pasta around with her fork. "Could we leave it in one of the training rooms? Terra sometimes forgets to eat when he gets too into his training."

Except...she's not sure he wanted to see her right now.
