He was too deep into his thoughts to notice until the hand on his sleeve turned into a woman against his side.

He tries to push her away via a hand on her head.

He backed away a step at that, eyes wide and panicked.

"S-sorry! Did I do something wrong?"

Shirogane's just a Normal. He can't do anything against her when she does this. But he can glare at her, "Leave me alone."

"I can't make you do that." Never mind that there was another problem with this sleeping arrangement...

"I should take the floor instead. I'm the one inconveniencing you."

He slams his fist against the door, "There is a limit to how much of your selfishness I can take in one day. I need to go back to work."

"Then...then...beach roses. Because...well..the flower meaning is..."

He turns his face to look out the window, "Never mind."

"I'm glad." Aqua hesitated for a moment before leaning over to press a quick kiss to the top of her head. Then she stood up.

"...we should get moving again."

"...I wouldn't look very good those kinds of clothes, Shiho."

"I'm not sure which instance you're referring to." Becuase, for all that he wasn't quite human, Ryuuko actually did know what he was doing to them. When he still chose to do what he did, it was because it made the most sense, even if it meant hurting himself or others.

"But I've never made my decisions lightly." There was a flicker of sadness and regret in his eyes, but his voice was firm. "I did what I had to."

Not fair. Especially since he was taller than her.

She still tries to reach for it anyway.

"I can't make you clean up."

True.

Erika stopped short when she noticed Shirogane.

Some people, when put in this situation would get frustrated and angry. (Why were you late!? Don't you know I needed you here an hour ago!!?)

Erika wasn't that kind of person. Erika's first reaction in this kind of situation isn't 'why didn't you get here sooner!?' instead it was...

"Thank goodness you're here!" She closed the distance between the two of them faster than a woman in heels had any right to (she had practice running in heels) and grabbed his hand in both of hers.

"I'll definitely do that."

She smiled then, a truly sincere smile. As if in response to his thoughts, her own feelings and thoughts calmed down. She will still get to talk to him even though it won't be face-to-face any more. That was...such a relief.

She can tell and it makes her laugh a little.

"It's a promise then."

"What if I told you there was a place you can go where you'll never be lonely again?"

She let the conversation taper off into a brief silence before she began to sing softly.

Akari couldn't hold a candle to Athena-san, but she had practice really hard to master this skill and she knew she could manage it more than just well enough.

He stares at her stomach in wonderment...then suddenly frowned and looked back at her face.

"Does it hurt you?"

Once Fujiko was done brushing her hair, she set the brush down and teleports a box of hair accessories over.

Hm...

She holds up a ribbon against Oichi's hair. "Let's make you really pretty!"

Shirogane may be slow (very slow, okay, be quiet), but at least he was learning. If he really, really were made to admit it, he didn't dislike being with her, holding her close, kissing her. Sure, he'd probably still choose work if given the choice but today...

Today, at this very moment, he had chosen to stay with her. One hand at her waist strays unconsciously to brush against bare skin as he pulls her closer.

Bingo! Aria-shachou looks very pleased as he struggles to sit up and start marching to the kitchen, as if to say that since everyone was awake already, it was about time to go make pancakes.

Shirogane just sighs before he sits up from the bed, running a hand through his loose hair. The morning had to begin sometime.

She pouted and uncrossed her legs. Instead of stepping on the floor, she pushed off the bed and floated over.

"Shirogane...Fujiko's missed you~."

He comes from Man-Home. Suspecting other people is (probably) normal there.

His eyes soften though, when she smiles at him, and he takes her hand.

"Yes, yes, everyone knows but you."

And it probably wouldn't bother this guy either, damn him. Just for that, she gives his cheek a not-particularly-gentle poke.

Don't think she didn't notice that.

Smirking only a little she sighed even more theatrically, tilting her head a little so that it was pressed against his cheek. One of her hands started drawing patterns on his chest idly.

"It's good manners to greet people, you know."

Why wasn't there a hole for her to hide in.

"N-No..that's not it. I..."

She decides to just sit on the small bench in the pavilion and bury her head in her hands.
