The nod...that was affirmative, right? So she tries again, "Mi...sasha...?"

"No. Sasha."

Ah, what has he done? If he wants to help this woman, he has to be able to speak her language...

More confused than ever, her voice is hesitant, "....Nousasha."

[ferroustigmata]

"No."

Is this woman ever going to figure it out, or does she just need his patience?

[higannobana]

The chances of her actually figuring it out on her own are slim. But she recognizes what he's saying, at least!

Nou is the name of her brother's wife. Maybe he was looking for her brother's wife. She looks around, as if expecting to see the dark kimono her sister-in-law had always favoured. When she doesn't, she gently takes his hand in hers, "Ichi...Ichi will help you find Nou."

"...что?"

Sasha blinks when he takes his hand. Does she want to show him something? Well, it's not like he could complain even if he wanted to.

[higannobana]

At the word from him, she turns and gives him a smile, voice sincere, "Don't worry...Ichi will help..."

She sets off in what is actually a random direction, decided simply because it looks right. Oichi knew her sister-in-law had always loved butterflies, red ones like flames. Red flaming butterflies embroidered on a background of black and gold silk pulled tight against a pure white throat.

Oichi-sama! Pl...! This isn't...you!

...but this...is...Ichi.......destroy....N...sama's enemies. All...of them...

Expression worried, Oichi wonders where her sister-in-law has gone all of a sudden.

While it might seem that Sasha was indulging in a lost woman's aimless wandering, he was actually taking advantage to analyze her reactions to things to see just how lost she had become.

After a while, Sasha remembers the words he wants to say, and tugs on her sleeve to get her attention. "Name," he says, then repeats, "Your name."

[higannobana]

There is a definite frown on her face, partly from the impatience of not being able to find the person she was looking for, and partly because looking for her sister-in-law...it felt strange somehow.

It felt like she was forgetting something again.

Oichi is peering into a grove of pale green bamboo when she feels the tug on her sleeve and she turns, distracted.

"Ichi. Ichi's name...is Ichi..."

[ferroustigmata]

"Ichi...is...lost?"

So many questions he wants to ask, but unfortunately he doesn't have the words with which to do so.

"Home," he figures, may give him a few answers to his questions. "Where?"

[higannobana]

"Lost...?"

She blinks before she's looking down again at the ground, "Lost...No...Ichi isn't lost. Ichi has a home. So Ichi...can't be lost. Because there are people...that need Ichi...so Ichi can never...be lost."

Oichi sways, hands clasped to her chest before she looks towards the clear sky and the silhouette of her brother's castle in the distance.
