Wow, laughing is so rude. He didn't think a car was something worth laughing over.

"Hmph."

And she goes right on hanging onto him even when they reach the car. She was waiting for him to open the door for her before she lets go.

(She's not holding her breath though.)

She would have suffocated if she were holding her breath, because Shirogane walks right past her. As far as he's concerned, she's more than capable of opening her own door.

She almost insists he do it for her...but Fujiko knows when the pick her battles. She sniffed and opened the door for herself and slid in.

"Honestly. You don't know how to treat a lady."

"I'm just doing this so you'll leave me alone."

Besides, he's always been like this. He starts the car, so she better start putting on her seatbelt.

She'll put that seatbelt on all right.

"So why didn't you just ignore Fujiko? Most of the girls already think you're asexual or gay."

"Ignoring you doesn't work."

He doesn't care what anyone else thinks about him anyway. Just as long as they didn't bother him and let him work. That was the important thing.

She leans her elbow on the spot where the door and the window meet, propping her head on her hand and smiling at him.

"That's because Fujiko likes you."

"Hmph."

He's pretty sure that's not a reason for bothering someone at all hours of the day and getting in the way of paperwork, but okay, maybe that's just him.

It is so a reason. Fujiko didn't push the issue though, instead she smiles.

"Turn right when we leave the parking lot."

A smile which he doesn't see because he's one hundred percent focused on the road. He does turn right though, following her instructions since he had no idea where they were going.

Fujiko cheerfulyl gives him instructions on where to turn until they reach their destination, a traditional looking Japanese restauraunt. It was...quite a bit away from Babel, and the building was very elegant and might as well have EXPENSIVE stamped all voer it.

"Fujiko has a reserved parking space over near the front."

Did she pay for that with her own money or with tax money? Who knows.

He isn't going to ask whether this was paid with her money or tax money. As long as it wasn't bought with R&D department funds.

With the car parked, he heads towards the door.

She huffed and got out herself. A quick teleport brought her to his side and she once again reached out to wind her arms around his.

He shoots her another glare and tries to pull his arm away.

She tightens her grip minutely, and sidles right up to him, pressing close.

"This is standard for a date." She informs him matter-of-factly.

Having never been on a proper date...Shirogane isn't actually sure if that was true. (The last time he'd gone on one was a very long time ago. It had been a very silent walk from their high school to the library and then finally to him telling the girl that this was a waste of time and leaving on his own.)

He manages to bite out a clipped, "Fine."

Hopefully this would be over with soon.

Fujiko smiled brightly at him, obviously pleased with herself for her little victory.

Once they were inside, she gave her name to the woman at the front and they were led from the modern entrance area to a hallway that is more traditionally Japanese. You could even see the gardens outside.

The room they came to was rather large and looked like it was meant to seat more than just two people. Fujiko waved at the woman who brought them here as she slid the door closed and left.

"This place is nice, isn't it?" She's still attached to his arm like a leech, naturally.

He tries to pull his arm out again, because really...they're supposed to be eating dinner. Eating dinner was very difficult when there was a leech hanging off your arm.

He gives her a look that he normally reserves for leeches (i.e. everyone) too, "The workmanship of the building is good. Now let go."

Dinner isn't here yet so she doesn't let go. In fact, she'll be pulling him further into the room towards the table. She's being insistent, but not really making use of psychic powers (yet).

Fujiko is completely ignoring the look he's sendig her just like she ignores the order to let go.

"Is that all you have to say about the place?"

He's not going to give up as he keep trying to pull out of her grip, "What else do you want me to say?"

Because as far as he was concerned, this place had nothing going for it besides the workmanship of the building. He hadn't even had the chance to eat anything.

"There's more to the building and decor than just workmanship. What about the atmosphere? The waitresses? The service so far?"

She pouts, and, instead of just hanging on, she started tugging on his arm, trying to get him to sit.

"Nothing has happened so far. All they've done is bring us to the table through a mostly empty hallway."

He finally sits, but not with a grumble.

"Well, then..." The moment he sits she was all but moving to drape herself over him, trying to rest her hands on his shoulder.

"What about the company~?"
