"Oh, well. I used to have trouble sleeping until everyone helped me build this house, so."

Eagle's still holding out his hand. He's not sure if he should take it back now or reach out for hers.

"Well, you just came to a new place, so that's normal, isn't it?" Aqua on the other hand...

...oh, speaking of hands...

She hesitates for a second before taking Eagles (did she really just leave him hanging like that? She seriously needs to get her act together.)

'We're...we're holding hands.'

Eagle struggles to remember that oh right, he has to breathe. Unconsciously, he holds her hand just a little bit more tightly. It was so small and soft...

"Um. Then. Shall we?"

He indicates the make-shift bed with its two pillows, side-by-side.

She squeezed his hand back and nodded.

Aqua still wished she wasn't this way, on the other hand...they were holding hands.

Her grip tightened a little.

"Well."

He pulls back the blanket, still being extremely awkward about this whole thing as he settles into the bed.

Aqua settles down after him. She still preferred to sleep in the water, but this was all right too.

She slept on her back, turning her head to look at Eagle.

"Are you sure this is all right?"

"Of course!"

He coughs, because oops, that came out a lot louder than he had meant for it to.

"I mean, yes. I'm fine. Are you okay? Are you cold?"

She shook her head.

"...I'm fine."

She looked at Eagle for a moment before giving his hand a gentle squeeze.

"Thank you."

WHY IS SHE SO CUTE.

"Y-You're welcome."

And fussing out of habit, he pulls the blanket a little higher to her chin.

She smiles before doing the same for him.

Aqua yawned after that. "Good night, Eagle."

Eagle smiles back, giving her hand a gentle squeeze, "Yes. Good night."

Eventually, Aqua drifts off to sleep, though she never once lets go of Eagle's hand during the night.
