She waited as patiently as she could for him to speak. She couldn't help the surprise on her face at what he finally said.

"...there is no relationship. I'm sure if you talked to Sakaki about something like that he'd probably go looking for brain bleach." Pause. "Actually, I'm pretty sure just hinting at something like that would send him looking for it."

"Besides, Sakaki isn't my type."

"Then what were you two doing two weeks ago in his office?"

"Two...weeks ago?"

Honestly, Fujiko didn't really bother remembering most of the things she did at B.A.B.E.L. More importantly, this guy has been worried about this for two weeks and didn't bother saying anything about it.

"Could you give me a hint about what you mean?"

"You were hanging off of him. It looked like you were having fun."

Helpful, Shirogane.

"Um..." The truth of the matter was, while Fujiko didn't keep very good track of what she was up to at B.A.B.E.L. she put even less effort into remembering her visits to Sakaki's office.

Unless there was something serious anyway.

Though she supposed asking 'which time are you talking about?' might also be the wrong thing to say...

"Fujiko was probably just messing with him." Pause. "Not messing around with him, mind you, because even though Sakaki is a brilliant doctor, Fujiko has very little respect for him as a man."

Shirogane had heard a lot about Sakaki's adventures with women. He'd even witnessed a few of the inevitable and messy break-ups.

He didn't respect the man much as a person either.

"...Don't do it anymore."

She didn't say she didn't respect him as a person, just not as a man.

When she had been much much younger Fujiko would probably have told him that she'll do what she wants. More than anything she hated being controlled back then. She was no longer that girl, however (and she knew that she would have regretted it after even back then).

Instead, she huffs and leans down to press her forehead against his if he'd let her.

"Fujiko will promise only if you promise to actually talk to me when you have a problem."

Of course he would let her. Being angry at her hadn't stopped him from missing her. With a sigh, he leans in, "I promise."

"Then Fujiko promises too." She was glad that he had allowed her to do this, despite everything she said, she had been a little bit worried he wouldn't.

"If you ever break that promise I'll get angry."

"If you ever break your promise, I'll be angry."


And now he's just going to attempt to pull away. The problem is solved as far as he's concerned.

Except Fujiko wasn't budging. Her hands stayed right where they were one either side of his head, her forehead still pressed to his.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Leaving."

Duh.

"Did you think Fujiko would let you off the hook so easily?"

".......What do you want, then?"

"You abandoned Fujiko for two weeks." She said with a whine, then moved a little, just enough to nuzzle his cheek. "You need to take responsibility."

"Responsibility?"

Also that nuzzling is kind of distracting. Stop.

"Mm-hm." Also, distracting is good, so she's not going to stop. She is also not explains how he needed to take responsibility. He can figure it out himself.

Consider it part of the punishment for jumping to conclusions like that. Honestly, her and Sakaki? Really?

"You were supposed to elaborate. Not agree. And stop that."

He's not okay with figuring it out himself, thank you very much.

She obliged with an audible huff. When she pulled back, she brought one hand back and poked him on the cheek.

"You need to make up for leaving Fujiko by her lonesome self for so long." Poke. "Don't tell me you don't have any idea how to do that."

"If I had an idea, I wouldn't be asking you."

"Hmph!"

So useless...it was a wonder why she was drawn to him in the first place. Still, the truth was, she really, really love him.

She grinned, "Well~," She said leaning in, "We could always have fantastic make up sex." She was mostly joking.

Don't joke with this guy, Fujiko. Shirogane looks down, clearly troubled for a moment before he is once again fixing his eyes on her face, "You do know I have no...experience..."

Um...wow. Give her a moment to get over her surprise. She'd forgotten that this guy takes everything literally.

"No. Um...experience isn't a problem, really." She had more than enough to make up for it, she thinks. "More importantly...do you actually want to?"

"I never said that I did not want to."

If he didn't want to, he would have said so. And then pushed her off the bed.

"Oh." Excuse her a moment as she tries to proccess everything that's happened so far. Thi is really...she doesn't even know how to describe it. But she frowns in the end, face serious after the rather comical expressions of surprise she had earlier.

"I know but it's important that it's something you actually want. I don't want this to be something you regret later and I definitely don't want you to do this just to appease me."
