Tsubomi let out a surprised sound when he pulled her in. One of her hands reached out to steady herself, landing on his shoulder.

Then he was kissing her. He was kissing her. Wh-what was she supposed to do? Tsubomi had no idea how these things were supposed to go!

Eh.

Thankfully, she doesn't have much time to wonder about stuff like that, since it is no time at all before Shirogane is pulling away. The hand on the back of her head slides to cup against her cheek.

Actually, Shirogane kind of wonders if he can kiss her again.

Suddenly, Tsubomi remembered the time when she was fourteen and tried to get a couple together using that old bridge trick. She wonders how she could have been so foolish as to think that would work.

The way her heart was pounding right now...it couldn't be compared to the way a person's heart skips a beat when they step onto a rocky bridge.

"...Shirogane-san?"

Shirogane watches the way her mouth moves as she says his name, and then decides to hell with it. He pulls her down into his lap, and tilts his head to kiss her again.

This angle was a lot better than the one before. He didn't have to crane his neck, for one. Her glasses were still kind of in the way though.

She tensed for a minute in surprise though after a moment she relaxes against him and tentatively brings her hands up to frame his face.

Shirogane had told himself, 'Just once more.'

It was difficult, however, for him not to get lost in that sweet, almost rose-like scent of her hair, the feeling of having her so close, and the elated feeling of her having said 'yes'.

'Just once more', he tells himself, but each time he pulls back, it only becomes more difficult to let go. So instead of letting go, he finds himself leaning in again, content to press kisses against her lips until she tells him to stop.

When she was younger, Tsubomi occasionally dreamed about what it would be like to be in love, to date someone and sometimes, when she was feeling particularly daring, she'd imagine what it would be like to kiss the person she loved.

School and then training had left her with less time to day dream, but occasionally, she would wonder...

All the wondering in the world couldn't have prepared her for the real thing: the way her heart was beating wildly, the way his smell (mint with a hint of alcohol) seemed to surround her, the way she found herself missing his kisses whenever he pulled back.

At some point, her hands moved from his face to behind his neck.

His nose bumps against her glasses, and with a frown he pulls away long enough to remove said offending glasses. He holds them loosely in one hand, the other going to the small of her back as he presses a kiss to the space just under her ear.

If he were inclined to pay attention, he'd probably hear a familiar voice just across the hall, "YOU SENT A VIOLENT DRUNK AFTER MY BEST FRIEND?!"

But he isn't. He sighs softly as he pulls her into a hug.

He may not have noticed that voice, but Tsubomi certainly did.

She looked up and turned her head towards the direction the voice came from.

Erika! She was supposed to meet them at the lobby! To make matters worse, she could see Itsuki and Yuri there, as well as Shirogane's friends (?). One of them, the one with the glasses was making placating gestures at Erika while saying something Tsubomi couldn't quite catch from this far away.

As the blush spread to the tips of her ears, she pushed against Shirogane.

"Sh-Shirogane-san!"

When Tsubomi pushes him, Shirogane does move back slightly to look in the direction where the voices are coming from.

Oh. It was just Kou, Ryuuko, and Tsubomi's friends.

He narrows his eyes in their direction and doesn't really quite let go yet.

Erika is yelling at Kou now, as Shirogane watches them with a frown.

"Shirogane-san," she wince when she heard Erika yelling. She will need to apologize to all of them later. "We need to get you back to your room."

Shirogane had to admit that the yelling was getting more annoying the longer they sat here. So after a moment of thought, he nods.

"Fine."

"Okay."

Pause.

"Then could you please let go for a moment?"

He doesn't actually want to let go. But he does, with a frown.

...right. Time to stand up properly and...yes.

She cleared her throat as she did just that. She shot a quick glance to where Erika and everyone was standing. Once she was (relatively) sure no one was in any immediate danger, she pulled on Shirogane's arm.

"I need to get you back to your room."

"I know."

So far so good...

"Then could you please try to stand, Shirogane-san?"

Shirogane stands, despite wanting to just stay here with her. He somehow manages not to stumble too much.

Okay. Good. Wonderful.

She hesitates before putting an arm under his. Tsubomi had done a lot of growing since her middle school days, but she was still noticeably shorter than Shirogane. If he leaned his full weight on her she couldn't be sure she wouldn't topple over. But she's going to do her best not to if that happened!

"A-all right. We're already really close to your room. It's only a few more steps, okay?"

As if he'd lean his weight on her. He can walk by himself. Kind of.

Well, he still isn't going to lean his weight on her. They make it to the door, and Shirogane starts rummaging around in his pockets for the key-card.

While he does that, she leans over to try to look around him. Erika...looked like she was busy throttling Kou-san while Itsuki tried to stop her and Yuri-san...Yuri-san was looking this way with a frown.

Tsubomi gave her an awkward smile and tried to make an ok sign with a hand to show her that she's got this. Really.

She didn't looked particularly convinced.

Shirogane tries to turn to look as well, and ends up unbalancing the both of them. Thankfully though, they're right at his room. Not so thankfully...he now has her pinned against the door.

Tsubomi had about one more second to try to convince Yuri before she suddenly found herself pinned between Shirogane and the door.

Tsubomi's brain did the mental equivalent of a keysmash.

"Sh-Shirogane-san!"

Ignoring her for the moment, Shirogane searches single-mindedly for the key that he knows is in his pocket.

Withdrawing the keycard without much expression on his face, he fumbles at the lock.

Tsubomi heard a sound that was probably a very angry Erika and, in a moment of panic, Tsubomi reached out to grab the keycard from Shirogane to unlock the door.
