"I didn't expect it to get this bad." This was kind of nostalgic. When was the last time she'd gotten this sick...?

"That better not be an excuse."

"It's not. I--" She put down the spoon again when she felt a cough coming on. She put a hand over her mouth to cover it.

There's a hand on her back, soothing her in a surprisingly gentle gesture.

"This is why you need to learn how to take care of yourself, you idiot."

If anyone asks, it's because she's his partner that he's doing this.

"It was only a small cough when I woke up this morning."

"You should have told me."

"I didn't think it was worth mentioning..."

"Your assumption was wrong."

"I know that now." How could she have known it would get this bad....?

She picked up the spoon again.

He's not letting you off that easy, Aqua.

"Next time, no matter what it is, you are to tell me. Got it?"

She paused, then turned to him with a smile.

"Got it."

He doesn't return the smile, but he acknowledges that at least she's learned.

"Good."

She goes back to her soup after that.

"Where did you learn how to make this?"

"From a cookbook."

He's watching you carefully, Aqua. You better eat all of it.

She won't leave a single drop.

"You should show me the recipe." The soup is really good...

"I will when you're better."

That's supposed to be incentive to get better, by the way.

She can tell and it makes her laugh a little.

"It's a promise then."
