She returned that smile easily. "Good morning."

That kiss was unexpected. So much so that she just dropped all the dishes in her hand.

"Ah!" She bends down immediately, "I-I'll pick it up!"

Dimly in the back of his mind, he notices that the angle is a bit awkward, since she is still standing and he has to lean forward out of the chair, but she had said yes. She had said yes.

That was all the incentive he needs to cup one hand against the back of her head and pull her down so he can brush his lips chastely against hers.

He hadn't imagined the kiss would feel this soft.

"it's not about you being helpless." She paused in order to lean up and press a kiss to his forehead then pulled back with a smile. "I just want to spoil you a bit today."

...she is seriously tempted to just unplug that damn computer.

What she does instead is float over and sit down beside him. On his table, of course.

"How long will it take?"

"Don't pick it up! You'll cut yourself."

He grabs her hand and pulls her back up, checking for injuries, "Are you alright?"

"...how can I prove it to you?" Because, obviously, words hadn't been enough else they wouldn't be having this conversation.

She closed her eyes, just enjoying the feeling of his hand on her cheek. That warm hand...when will she get the chance to hold it again?

"It might be a very long time from now. I said a few months would do, but Sakaki said he won't let me come out of hibernation until he says it's all right."

Oichi doesn't struggle, although the hands do hover for the briefest moment before disappearing when it seems like there is no threat. She blinks at him, hands in her lap and waiting for what is going to happen next.

She looked dejected at the answer and she tosses back the rest of the contents of her glass.

"...I'm not even sure why I asked."

"Then I can at least get caught up on paperwork and projects until you're ready."

Because in case she didn't know, he isn't able to work when he spends time with her. He has a mini back-log of paperwork on future projects to go through.

"Of why I like that you wear button up shirts instead of zippers, of course."

"I don't know either."

Despite the less-than-polite answer, Shirogane looks really peaceful, staring out into the night.

Shirogane gives her an unsure look.

Is it too late to back out of this....

He hadn't thought of it that far. And he really is at a loss as he tries to think of an answer to her question.

Shirogane only reaches out to move the data closer to him when she sits on his table.

"Ten minutes."

Shirogane sighs, "....do as you like."

Except he totally is. Shou crosses his arms, "I just haven't found a good time to."

"You aren't supposed to be here! What if you get executed too? I-"

She didn't want that to happen.

Don't use those two as a study. They were a special case. Besides, Shiho was nothing like that stone-faced guy.

It was clinical, the way he kissed her. Of course, she did like it. The soft sigh and the way she melts against him is a good indication of that. But at the same time, she couldn't help but to find it just a bit weird. Cute. But weird.

"Stop worrying about stupid things."

His eyes were trained on the Queen of Hearts.

"I'm not going to get executed...and neither are you." He brought up his gatling gun. "Duck!" And as soon as she did he was opening fire on that stupid drag queen.

He always wanted to do this.

"But you had one right there and you wasted it." Yes, she was standing there during that conversation right now. "If you need help, all you have to do is ask."
