In response he leaned in and kissed her on the mouth.

Akari almost starts to protest, but then she supposed it wouldn't be much help this time. She hands the dishes to him.

"Next time will be my turn to the do the dishes, okay?"

"N-No. You don't have to thank me. Really. I didn't do anything. I'm sorry. I just. I. That is. I. Um."

He doesn't turn back to look at her but he can feel the blush spreading to his ears as he aggressively fluffs up the pillows. (Stop, Eagle. The fluff is probably going to start leaking out of the seams if you keep doing that...)

"Embarrassing? Why would it be embarrassing?"

Ryuuki didn't know if it was like champagne, but he knew it was such a wonderful feeling that he can't help but want to hold onto it forever and ever.

He brings a hand up to cup her face.

"That's true."

Even though his expression was impassive, Akari couldn't help but feel warmed by the sight of him. She hesitated for a moment before leaning over to place a biref kiss on his cheek.

He stares for a moment before letting out a short 'hn' that might have been a laugh. He brings his hand up and linked his pinky with hers.

"Pinky promise."

How about...they steer away from this embarrassing conversation.

"Here, let me help." Because she's not sure what you're doing to that pillow but she thinks maybe she should try to get it out of your hands for a little bit...

She completes the pinky promise with a sing-song voice, "Whoever breaks the promise...loses a tooth...okay?"

Oichi starts standing up, hesitating for just a moment until a tendril of smoke slams down on the chain, severing it. There's still the sound of dragging though, as she stands up.

He leans his forehead against hers with a smile, "Good morning, Akari."

Shiho leans into his touch, bringing one hand up to cover his.

"Because..I think I really like you.

He isn't going to lose.

"Fine."

But even with that said he's working up till the very last moment before their date, still entering data and crunching numbers. Because work, okay.

And then without much warning, he leans down and gives her a brief kiss.

...Where did he learn to do something like that? That wasn't like him at all. It was definitely someone's bad influence.






She returns the kiss anyway, snuggling a little bit closer.

Is that supposed to be a compliment...?

"But you like Fujiko, right?"

Shiho clasps her hands behind her back, all innocent sweetness, "We were just wondering...you wouldn't mind dropping by to see Terra-san later, would you?"

"Even if you're working, that's no excuse. How do you even find things in here?"

"...You look at me because you respect me."

He doesn't believe that.

"The effects of alcohol intoxication are generally euphoria and lowered social inhibitions. It doesn't make you think things you would not normally think."

He frowns at her, not letting go of her hand, "If it's not that you wouldn't like it, why won't you believe me?"

He follows her, shrugging off his suit jacket and undoing his tie as he sits on the edge of the bed.

Shirogane looks back at her, unfazed by the pouting, "Isn't this what I wear normally?"

He likes his button-up shirts, okay.

"Is it really that much fun to get a rise out of me?! I've had enough of you, and I never want to see-"

He chokes on his next words, because he wants to say them. Some part of him wants her to get out and leave and never come back. Some part of him says 'good riddance'.

He doesn't finish his sentence, clenching his hands into fists as he looks away. Anywhere but at her.
