Eve canted her head, then gently pinched Oichi's nose when she didn't wake up.

There's a quiet struggle, and then Oichi is opening her eyes and looking very confusedly at Eve.

Eve smiles and her hand moves away from Oichi's nose to brush some of her bangs aside.

"Good morning."

[higannobana]

"...Good...morning."

Oichi leans in to Eve's touch, reflexively closing her eyes.

Eve's heart skipped a beat.

Oichi's eyelashes were so long and pretty. Eve's thumb brushed over Oichi's cheek.

"Did you sleep well?"

Eve's touch always made her feel safe, and loved. And because she felt safe and loved, she inevitably felt sleepy as well.

"...Yes."

Don't mind her, she's just going to be dozing off against Eve's shoulder again.

Eve watches her with a smile, then, after a moment of hesitation, she leans over to place a kiss on top of Oichi's head.

The butterfly-soft feeling of a kiss on the top of her head surprises her, but within moments, she's snuggling up to the younger girl, her hands clutching against the fabric of her clothing.

That went over better than she thought it would, but even just a small gesture like that has Eve blushing. She's certain that Train would have teased her if he were here.

It's just as well, that it's just the two of them. She brushes a hand over Oichi's head with a soft smile.

Of course it went over just fine. Oichi enjoyed the feeling of being loved, being cared for. It was a thing she would not have thought she deserved if she were still lucid enough to think about it, but none of that could hurt her any longer and she simply let herself breathe in the scent of Eve's hair, of her clothing, the warmth of Eve's hand on her head.

With a content sigh, she leans into her touch. Even if Train was here, she wouldn't have cared.
