Below is a list of things I love but you know, I'm pretty easy to convince to try anything once? So unless it's on my Hard No list feel free to ask?
AU Scenarios:
- Zettai Karen Children AUs! Everyone gets psychic powers along with all the other things that come with that.
- Soul Campaing AUs. My goodness I love Soul Campaign AUs. Can be Soul Eater AUs too.
- Bokura no Kiseki AUs. Remembering a past life gives modern day teens PTSD and causes serious friction as everyone starts suspecting their friends of being enemies? Uh, yes please? Or just you know, general reincarnation stuff is okay too.
- FANTASY AUS. Give me your dragons and magic kingdoms and fairies and princesses/princes. Give me quests and prophecies! Can be the standard fantasy settings or some sort of urban fantasy. I love both, really.
- On a related note: FAIRYTALE AUS. Specific fairytales or even more generic set ups like princesses locked in a tower guarded by a dragon and kisses. Just to note, especially for these I prefer less conventional retellings? Maybe the captive princess/prince is secretly in love with the dragon and has been conpsiring to keep the nights away. Maybe the witch only accidentally cursed someone and now is trying to fix it. Maybe the prince is actually a jerk and rather than kidnapped the princess/damsel had run away? It can be as cracky as you can handle!
- Crystal Chronicles AU. I just love that whole, spending long hours on the road together with nothing but wilderness and the knowledge that if we don't succeed everyone we care about back home is doomed feel. Especially since it's a journey that, presumably, happens yearly. It's just the right mix of lighthearted and serious that I love.
- Kemono Kingdom Zoo AU. Uh. This one is pretty obscure but it's also very short? Like, just 17 chapters. But basically: animals are all human shaped with animal characteristics like wings, ears or are just straight up animals sometimes. Everyone is implied to live in a zoo ruled over by King Panda Jr.. I love playing out shenanigans in this AU? Like a cute lunch date turns a bit scary when your otter girlfriend suddenly pulls out a rock and pulverizes the shellfish without hesitation.
- I'm actually pretty open to all sorts of AUs, but if we're AUing one of mine into your canon and I don't know it well, just help me along, haha.
Shipping Things I like:
- MISTAKEN IDENTITIES. Especially with a side of arranged marriages? Two people who are supposed to get married who don't know each other and for some reason or another meet each other under a false identity and fall in love. (And then freak out because they're engaged to someone and they don't know it's the same person they are in love with help???)
- FAREWELLS. I love writing sad farewells. The kind where they knew all along that it was coming but tried to just enjoy each day? Suddenly unexpected parting (death? War? Sudden emergency? I'm not actually picky)? Yes to both! Do they confess when they say goodbye? Does it linger as something unsaid? Did one person outright lie and say they didn't love the other person? Was the parting voluntary? Did they not have a choice? I honestly can't think of a way for this to play out that I wouldn't like.
- Long distance relationships/pining. Maybe it's for work, maybe it's because someone is being held hostage and can't leave. Maybe they're in different cities or even different planets. Either way, they can't easily see each other. Maybe they're keeping in touch with letters, phonecalls, whatever, but the distance is very much there and sometimes it can be overwhelimg. I just love playing out idiots longing to be near each other but can't, okay?
- REUNIONS. I feel like all three of these can be grouped together but like, finally being reunited after being seperated? Hell yeah. Especially if the time period in between parting and being reunited is a good chunk of time. Doesn't necessarily have to be years (but that's nice) but long enough that it's overwhelming to be in each other's presence again. Maybe it's because they're now different people or maybe even post-death? Like one of them died and the other lived a long life and they meet again in the after life.
- "I Can't Stand You" to "I Love You". This one is pretty self explanatory. Can be a misunderstanding! It could be they were childhood rivals! The reason honestly doesn't matter so much.
- Arranged Marriages! Also pretty self explanatory
- It Wasn't Love At First. You know, maybe they were fake dating, maybe it was a bet or maybe someone paid it (or any other reason? Politics? Assassination? Power play? The skies the limit), the really important thing is that one or both of them started this relationship with less than honest intentions but then it becomes real and uh. What are you supposed to do with that??? Who knows. Either way it'll be messy and painful and I live for these things.
- First Times. All the firsts? First kiss, first date, first time sex, first time living together, first time holding hands, first time talking about fears, ANY KIND OF FIRSTS.
- Protector/Proteced Dynamics. Knights and Royal? Bodyguard and some kind of important person? One of those relationships where both sides are equally protective of each other but that makes the one on the protector side go GODDAMNIT STOP RUNNING INTO DANGER TO PROTECT ME THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE MY JOB. Yelling is not a prerequisite but you get the idea I hope.
- Teasing and bickering
- Mutual Pining where both sides think it's unrequited.
- I Didn't Mean to Love You. Maybe there's a time limit. Maybe they both know it's temporary. Maybe one of them is dying. This wasn't something one or both of them meant to let themselves have but, as it is said in Chinese: the heart is only made of flesh. And so, weak and against all good sense, they fall anyway.
- Trying something new and absolutely failing at it. Can be explicit or not. Just trying something and it completely and utterly fails. (But that's fine because they're so busy laughing at it that it ends up being sort of perfect in its own way anyway).
- Time Travel. Are they from times that are centuries apart? Did they just travel a few years back to a time when their crush/lover was in a bit of a tight spot and is going to offer them a hug? Do they try to help them only to TOTALLY SCREW UP THE FUTURE AND THEY NEVER EVEN MET? I love time travel. I love it so much you have no idea.
- Universe hopping Meeting alternate universes of each other? Hell yeah. Along with all the misunderstandings and culture shock and isolation that comes with being stuck somewhere you don't belong? While someone else tries to help and/or makes things worse? Sign me up???
- But really. Anything. JUST ASK ME AND I'LL PROBABLY SAY YES I LOVE SHIPPING OF EVERY KIND.
Kinks:
I really just have a couple of hard nos. Otherwise I can probably be convinced to try anything. I think I'm more scenario oriented? If the scenario fits then I could probably be talked into writing any sort of kink.
Hard No's:
- Vore. I'm just not a super fan of lots of gorey stuff.
- Bathroom stuff
- Pedophilia
- Torture porn
Gen Things I Like:
- Shenanigans! I love playing out ridiculous scenarios. Things like characters being stuck in a box, or being caught in a Chinese finger trap or having to crossdress. You know, ridiculous threads that make people laugh.
- Found Families. Characters who are otherwise alone who find each other and become important to each other is my jam. Please come adopt/be adopted by my characters!
