There's a beat after he presses his nose to her forehead, her eyes wide before she laughs, delighted and so content that it seemed like a dream. (But she knew it wasn't. Dreams didn't smell of sunshine and dust.)
"Do not turn away, Lion."
Gently, she puts her hands on either side of his face and turns him back to her. She presses her nose against his forehead again, lingering and carding her fingers through his hair with each bump of her nose. She wanted him to know how much she appreciated him, how thankful she was for him, for them.
That and she also kind of wanted to tease him as well.
