Changge didn't really understand salads. Fruit salads she still understood, but the kind with uncooked greens just seemed, to her at least, to be something you would feed to rabbits.

"Salad and ice cream don't make up a meal." She says simply, not really rebuking Veronica so much as reminding her of this fact. She has found that, with some things, if she doesn't curb Veronica's enthusiasm there's no teling what might happen (though, more often than not, she won't be able to stop anything when Veronica's truly determined and that was something Changge was slowly starting to learn to live with).

"Besides, you cannot eat all cold food for breakfast: it is bad for your stomach."
