In answer to the first part of the question, the President points to a corner of his desk. To the second he folds his arms across his chest (the action is not without a touch of defensiveness) and stands.

There's a short peal of laughter that could almost be nervous, though somehow ends up sounding genial and good-natured: "I did some! But that's how it is with work. You do it a little bit at a time so it doesn't overwhelm you, right?" See, it's not actually procrastination if you can think of it like that.
